Job Title: General Nursing Career Opportunities

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Strengthening Families Team within the Healthy Child Programme 0-19. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to babies, children, and young people who are subject to child in need or child protection plans.

About the Role

As a Staff Nurse in the Strengthening Families Team, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload of babies, children, and young people to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate care. You will work closely with qualified School Nurses and Health Visitors to provide holistic health assessments and develop evidence-based nursing care plans. You will also contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of health education and promotion packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload of babies, children, and young people to assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate care.
  • Work closely with qualified School Nurses and Health Visitors to provide holistic health assessments and develop evidence-based nursing care plans.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of health education and promotion packages.
  • Ensure effective communication with babies, children, young people, parents, carers, and others, including those whose first language is not English.
  • Support the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health promoting activities with individuals and groups.
Requirements
  • RN or RM Current NMC Registration.
  • Demonstrable evidence of personal and professional development.
  • Demonstrable evidence of working with babies, children, and young people.
  • Placement in school nursing or health visiting service within training.
  • Demonstratable experience of working with babies, children, and young people who have been subject to safeguarding support.
