About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Application Support Specialist to join our team at Deerfoot IT Resources Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to support and enhance critical technologies and processes within the retail and distribution sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to ensure IT systems are operational and up-to-date.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Communication: Liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Requirements Gathering: Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for technology to enhance business processes and lead technology-driven initiatives to improve operations.
  • Solution Design: Assist in the design and implementation of technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Integration: Integrate modern technologies into existing business systems and processes to ensure seamless operation.
  • Training: Develop and deliver training programs for end users to ensure effective adoption of new technologies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology implementation to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong appreciation for IT systems, software development, data management, and cybersecurity.
  • Business Acumen: Solid understanding of business processes and operations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Data Analysis: Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques to inform business decisions.
  • Project Management: Understanding of project management methodologies to ensure effective project delivery.
