Your Experience and Qualifications

  • A friendly and approachable demeanor with a genuine commitment to the well-being of residents.
  • Hold relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in leading, motivating, and inspiring a culinary team.
  • Familiarity with fresh, seasonal ingredients and a solid understanding of nutrition.
  • Ability to foster a warm and inviting atmosphere within our establishments.
  • Confidence in engaging with residents to create appealing and nutritious menus.
  • Experience collaborating with front-of-house teams to maintain high standards in dining areas.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and COSHH regulations.
  • Understanding of modified diets using the IDDSI framework (training will be provided for those new to care).

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire your team, focusing on development and skill enhancement.
  • Develop menus tailored to residents' preferences, ensuring a person-centered approach to hospitality.
  • Utilize fresh ingredients to prepare high-quality, wholesome dishes that meet the highest culinary standards.
  • Bake a variety of items from scratch, including cakes, scones, and breads.
  • Assist the front-of-house team in preparing dining areas for service.
  • Manage budgets, conduct regular audits, and oversee stock control.
  • Create a warm, efficient, and enjoyable working environment.
  • Oversee ongoing recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Manage the performance of both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
