Autonomous Driving Experience Lead

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Onboard Experience team at Wayve. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing innovative and intuitive user experiences for our autonomous driving systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and designers to create seamless and user-friendly interfaces for our autonomous vehicles.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from Safety, Research, and Product Management to drive strategic user interface development and ensure alignment with Wayve's objectives.
- Oversee the design and implementation of user interfaces that enable safety drivers to monitor and control autonomous vehicles effectively.
- Develop comprehensive monitoring and diagnostic tools to swiftly address and resolve issues impacting user experience and system performance.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop your team, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Proven leadership experience in software development, including 5+ years in a leadership role and 3+ years directly managing a software development team.
- Expertise in user interface development, full-stack software development, and the Android Auto ecosystem.
- Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end development, and experience with user interface design.
- Excellent ability to conceive and execute user interface projects that align with both immediate and long-term business objectives.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration across diverse technical teams and company divisions.
