Team Leader

As a Team Manager at Tesco, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding people routines for your team, developing their skills, and creating a culture where we get the basics right all the time. You will also be responsible for knowing your colleagues and how they feel about working for you and for Tesco, and developing great colleagues for today and leaders for tomorrow. You will communicate purpose, plan, and progress to your team and be responsible for listening to customers and acting on their feedback. You will engage your team to deliver the best availability for customers throughout the day and deliver a great shopping trip for customers every day. You will also be responsible for delivering and sustaining great standards to be proud of, encouraging your team to be passionate about products, leading the service culture in your department, protecting our brand by delivering legal compliance through your teams, and actively controlling costs on your department and delivering your budgets. You will also consider safety in all you do so every colleague and every customer gets home safe every day. You will work with the business to grow sales and engage your team to participate in bringing benefits to the local community. You will be a professional business manager and work together across your Centre and across Fulfilment to achieve shared success. You will build strong relationships with customers and colleagues, be flexible in the way you think, make decisions, and handle change, know your own sources of energy and keep yourself fit for life, and always look for ideas and opportunities to build a better Tesco.
