Community Support Facilitators
Position Overview
As a Community Support Facilitator, you will engage with individuals in their environments rather than in a traditional office setting. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
The Community Support Service collaborates with various local agencies to ensure that accessible assistance is available for those experiencing homelessness or unstable living conditions. This service operates across the county, promoting a comprehensive, multi-agency approach to meet the diverse needs of individuals. In addition to the main outreach service, we also have specialized teams that support individuals with complex needs. We are seeking Community Support Facilitators who will receive training in various areas and provide assistance to the teams based on the most pressing needs.
About Our Organization
At We Are With You, we believe that everyone deserves to receive the support they need for challenges related to substance use or mental health. We work collaboratively with individuals to help them achieve their personal goals, whether that involves maintaining safety and health, making gradual changes, or overcoming unwanted habits. Our services are offered in a manner that suits each individual, whether in-person, within the community, or online. We provide a free and confidential service to over 100,000 individuals annually, striving to enhance the support available and raise awareness about substance use and mental health issues.
Job Duties
All candidates are required to submit a CV along with a cover letter detailing their suitability for this position. Applications lacking a cover letter will not be considered. Please be aware that this position may close early if a sufficient number of applications are received. We have multiple positions available, and candidates should indicate their preference in their cover letter. This role involves working on a new initiative alongside other services to provide outreach support to individuals facing substance use challenges and housing instability. We are looking for a dedicated and resilient individual who understands the difficulties faced by those experiencing homelessness or insecure housing and who is eager to take on challenges. While experience in substance use is advantageous, training will be provided. Above all, we seek someone who is passionate about our mission and possesses a positive, engaging demeanor towards both service users and colleagues. The successful candidate will be expected to work a specified number of hours per week, with occasional weekend shifts. A full UK driving license is mandatory. Successful applicants will need to provide three years of references and may be required to undergo an enhanced background check.
Diversity Commitment
We are committed to fostering an inclusive culture that values and celebrates the diverse experiences and voices of our staff. We recognize that representing the communities we serve is crucial to achieving our goal of significantly improving lives. We welcome unique contributions and encourage individuals from underrepresented backgrounds to apply, including those with lived experiences, disabilities, individuals from racialized communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and veterans.
