Key Responsibilities

  • Provide actuarial expertise on core UK defined benefit pensions, working closely with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies for large teams and projects.
  • Coach and mentor junior associates, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Work independently and as part of client teams, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Take ownership of your work, demonstrating a strong sense of accountability and pride in your accomplishments.
  • Continuously challenge yourself and seek opportunities to step outside your comfort zone, driving innovation and growth within the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in core UK defined benefit actuarial work, with a strong understanding of pension schemes.
  • Progression towards Fellowship of the IFoA, with a minimum of Associate or CAA qualification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong client-service orientation.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong delegation skills, with a desire to coach and mentor junior associates.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of client teams, with a strong sense of accountability and pride in your work.
