As a key member of our Automotive Research and Development Team, you will be responsible for the preparation, building, and maintenance of vehicles or components for testing. This will involve leading investigations into faults and/or performance issues, assembly and disassembly of parts, components, or vehicles for static and dynamic test activities, and ensuring products meet customer requirements.
Requirements- City & Guilds / BTEC / IMI / NVQ Level 3 qualification
- Understanding of vehicle disassembly, assembly, and maintenance techniques
- Vehicle system knowledge with the ability to fault find
- Electronic / Electrical background in automotive is desirable
- Understanding of vehicle diagnostic tools, e.g., CAN
- Interest in the latest smartphones and applications
- Basic Machining / Fabrication experience is desirable but not essential
You will be working within a dedicated team of Test Technicians and Engineers on a contract basis. You will use various diagnostic software, including CANalyzer, and will be responsible for the maintenance of the Test Vehicle Fleet. You will hold a valid driving licence and have the capability to travel.
