About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Pontypool. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement repairs or replacements as needed
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operation of the production facility
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mechanical maintenance
Requirements
  • Experience in a maintenance engineer position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • NVQ in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to commute to Pontypool
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
