About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Wienerberger België. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electro-mechanical plant equipment and machinery
  • Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Identify and rectify electrical faults and issues
  • Program and configure Siemens and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
  • Use various types of testing equipment to locate and remedy electrical faults
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of safe systems of work (SSOW) documentation
  • Adhere to Wienerberger's quality system and standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001
Requirements
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline
  • Strong experience of working in a manufacturing or factory environment
  • Commitment to safe working practices and strong experience of health and safety best practice
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong team playing skills and good communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of environment, health, and safety (EHS) processes
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Diagnostics experience of electrical motors and pneumatics
  • Experience and knowledge of PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
Desirable Qualifications
  • 17th/18th edition qualified
  • Completed a hands-on apprentice training programme
  • HNC or HND qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in heavy industry manufacturing
