Position Overview

Leading London-based IP/Trade Mark Team is in Search of a Skilled Legal Advisor (Maternity Leave Coverage)

IDEX Consulting Ltd is representing a prestigious commercial law firm in London, renowned for its exceptional Intellectual Property (IP) and Trademark division. They are looking for a proficient and seasoned legal advisor to join their vibrant team during a maternity leave period.

Candidate Profile:

  • You are a qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in IP and/or trade law.
  • You possess a solid grasp of UK and/or EU IP legislation, encompassing trademarks, patents, copyright, and designs.
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of international trade laws, and experience with trade remedies (e.g., anti-dumping) is advantageous.
  • You are an articulate communicator with a proven track record of establishing robust client relationships.
  • You are a driven team player with meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to providing outstanding client service.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideally 2+ PQE (must be qualified in a common law jurisdiction) with experience acquired at a leading law firm or IP practice.
  • Post-qualification experience as a solicitor or a trade mark attorney, gained in a similar setting.
  • Exposure to the following areas: International portfolio management for trade marks and designs;
  • International clearance initiatives for trade marks and designs;
  • Management of negotiations related to contentious IP issues;
  • Global enforcement and monitoring programs;
  • Domain name disputes; and contentious registry/court proceedings.
  • A desire to work for a truly international firm and engage in cross-border matters.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload and efficiently handle deadline-driven tasks.
  • Working knowledge of the full spectrum of intellectual property rights beyond trade marks, including copyright and design rights.
