Job Title: Transport Refrigeration Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join our team at Recruitment Helpline Ltd.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join our company. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing all makes of refrigeration units, portable cold stores, and ancillary equipment to a high standard.

You will also be required to participate in a stand-by rota to provide customers with 24/7 breakdown cover. This will involve liaising and communicating with customers face-to-face or by any other means of communication, acting with professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair all makes of refrigeration units, portable cold stores, and ancillary equipment to a high standard.
  • Participate in a stand-by rota to provide customers with 24/7 breakdown cover.
  • Liaise and communicate with customers face-to-face or by any other means of communication.
  • Attend customer sites and adhere to site requirements.
  • Observe all Health and Safety Policies at all times.
  • Complete engineer reports, job sheets, time sheets, and any other paperwork or tick sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Maintain van stocks and keep accurate records of transfers from stock locations and usage on jobs.
  • Carry out regular checks of allocated van and equipment.
  • Attend and complete training courses as required.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • City and Guilds Level 2 Award in F-Gas and ODS Regulations (or equivalent).
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical automotive engineering.
  • Full Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
