Financial Operations Manager

Birmingham / Hybrid

We are on the lookout for a Financial Operations Manager to join our vibrant and swiftly expanding organization in the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will lead the financial accounting team and supervise the daily finance operations, enhancing efficiency and precision in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the financial accounting team, ensuring seamless daily operations.
  • Generate weekly cash flow forecasts and annual cash budgets.
  • Enhance cash flow through effective management of working capital and credit control.
  • Ensure that robust financial controls and processes are established.
  • Supervise daily treasury activities and ensure compliance with covenants.
  • Manage foreign currency risks and implement suitable hedging strategies.
  • Lead the accounts payable team, ensuring adherence to financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the submission of statutory returns (VAT, ONS).
  • Collaborate with the Group to deliver audited statutory accounts and annual corporation tax returns.
  • Drive systems and process enhancements across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Statutory lines.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified ACA/CIMA or ACCA Accountant.
  • Extensive experience in Financial Control, preferably within an SME.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 7 individuals.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a strong business partnering approach.
  • Proactive, self-motivated individual with a commitment to improving processes and systems.
  • Proven track record in a similar finance leadership position.
