Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution Shift Manager to lead our night shift operations at our Dagenham facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, maintaining compliance standards, and fostering a positive work environment for our team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of 70 drivers and administrators during night shifts, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and loading of goods.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  • Manage HR-related tasks for the shift, including attendance, scheduling, and performance reviews.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively, implementing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Distribution Shift Manager or in a similar leadership role within the logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of transport compliance regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Management CPC desirable.
