About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pensions Scheme Actuary to join our team at Huddle Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our pension consulting team, you will work closely with clients to provide expert advice on pension scheme design, funding, administration, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Advisory: Collaborate with partners and senior consultants to set client objectives and identify barriers to achieving them.
  • Pension Scheme Management: Prepare for and attend company/trustee/governance committee meetings, providing advice and guidance on company pensions.
  • Client Solutions: Support the implementation of tailored client solutions, providing effective communication and continuous dialogue to achieve desired results.
  • Risk Assessment: Determine probability and assess risks, explaining implications to clients and advising on risk limitation using mathematical modeling techniques.
  • Funding and Valuations: Prepare specific calculations, funding updates, and valuations to enable clients to understand their pension scheme's funding position.
  • Communication and Reporting: Draft reports, prepare literature, and provide clear guidance to clients on pension changes and scheme member benefits.
Requirements
  • Education: Equivalent to a graduate degree in mathematics, economics, finance, or science.
  • Professional Qualifications: CT series and at least 2 years of experience in pension and actuarial consulting.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understanding of commercial pressures and their impact on pension schemes.
