Primary Objective and Context of the Role.

The main focus is to serve as the key liaison for our Foodservice and B2B partnerships, overseeing daily operations and commercial strategies. This role is accountable for managing our existing client portfolio while also pursuing new business opportunities within these sectors. It is essential to ensure that Oscar Mayer meets all customer expectations. Develop tailored plans for clients to achieve volume, revenue, and profit objectives.

Reporting Structure and Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with our B2B and Foodservice clients, acting as the main point of contact for the Buyer.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of Oscar Mayer's capabilities and commercial strategies to identify and drive new opportunities.
  • Foster internal collaborations across various functions to ensure effective commercial execution.
  • Acquire knowledge of all operational capabilities and processes, contributing to their development in alignment with customer requirements.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to ensure strategic goals are achieved.
  • Manage both internal and external communications to keep all stakeholders informed about relevant issues and activities.
  • Play a vital role in the category process as an essential member of the Oscar Mayer customer team.
  • Oversee critical project timelines to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the NPD Team to support the development pipeline through cost assessments and commercial proposals.
  • Ensure timely and complete management of internal and external requirements for product tenders.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to establish trading terms.
  • Gather and analyze essential commercial data and metrics necessary for financial proposals.
  • Accurately predict customer demand to ensure sufficient capacity is available to meet their needs.
  • Work collaboratively to manage category cost reduction initiatives to enhance value throughout the process.
  • Provide regular and clear updates to the Director of Sales regarding performance and opportunities.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A high-caliber commercial professional with a strong enthusiasm for sales.
  • 3-5 years of commercial experience in a client-facing or account management capacity.
  • Proven experience managing UK Foodservice and B2B relationships and business strategies, preferably in the chilled food sector.
  • Proficient in handling commercial negotiations and CPI recovery.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction both internally and externally.
  • Familiarity with category management and consumer insights.
  • A natural ability to build relationships with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, dynamic, and engaging at all organizational levels.
  • Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced and agile work environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the capability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Highly organized and structured, adept at managing time and priorities effectively.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
