Position Overview

The firm is looking for a 2nd to 5th-year associate with a strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, or life sciences to join its Patent Litigation team.

This role provides a unique opportunity to work on high-profile patent litigation cases, collaborating with some of the best legal minds in the industry and supporting clients in resolving intricate intellectual property disputes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Representing clients in all stages of patent litigation, from pre-suit investigations through trial and appeal, in matters involving cutting-edge technologies.
  • Conducting detailed analysis of complex technical issues in electrical engineering, computer science, or life sciences to support patent claims and defenses.
  • Drafting pleadings, briefs, discovery materials, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Working closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies, engage with experts, and manage all phases of litigation.
  • Collaborating across practice groups to provide comprehensive legal solutions, with a focus on intellectual property and patent law.
Candidate Requirements
  • 2-5 years of patent litigation experience at a leading law firm.
  • A strong technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, and/or life sciences is required.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills, with a proven ability to handle complex litigation matters.
  • Admission to the New York Bar.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
