About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Content Acquisition Manager to join our Prime Video team in the Nordics. As a key member of our Content Acquisition Management (CAM) team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of entertainment on Amazon.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Content Acquisition Strategy: Execute the content acquisition strategy for certain content categories on Amazon's Prime Video service in the Nordics.
  2. Licensing and Negotiations: Support all aspects of content licensing/commissioning negotiations, including content selection, financial analysis, forecasting, and technical requirements for film and TV content.
  3. Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key content providers/producers.
  4. Acquisition Planning: Work closely with Prime Video leadership to develop and document acquisition plans, financial metrics and goals for senior management.
  5. Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, public relations, finance, operations, etc.) and report to senior stakeholders on performance.
  6. Data-Driven Decision Making: Use behaviour, usage and consumption data to inform decision-making.
  7. Service Development: Work closely with Amazon Video Management to develop new services and product offerings.
  8. Process Improvement: Solve time sensitive issues using the range of tools available at Amazon or via your own methodology to improve on our processes.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience in account management, business development, content licensing, or finance.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience supporting the negotiating license and/or business development agreements.
  • Analytical Skills: Developed analytical and quantitative skills (e.g. ability to work with large data sets and develop complex Excel models).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language Skills: Fluency in a Nordic language.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to convert insight into strategy and communicate complex ideas clearly and logically in written communication.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
  • Digital Video Landscape: Knowledge of digital video landscape.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the European Entertainment business, and/or an understanding of the territory's film and TV business.
