Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management System Compliance: Ensure that our local Quality Management System is compliant with the agreed scope, while maintaining ISO 9001 certification.
  • Quality KPI Monitoring: Support and monitor quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) throughout the project phase to ensure that project targets are being achieved with evidence.
  • Quality Concerns Resolution: Coordinate customer, supplier, and internal quality concerns, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Containment, Corrective, and Preventive Actions: Manage the identification and implementation of effective containment, corrective, and preventive actions using the Global 8D approach.
  • Project Core Team Meetings: Attend project core team meetings as the quality representative, providing status updates and ensuring that risk is being managed effectively.
  • Quality Training and Development: Deliver training and toolbox talks related to quality activities.
  • Quality Reporting: Report site KPIs/metrics to the business, highlighting performance, compliance, and improvement initiatives, generating improvement action plans where gaps are identified.
  • Quality Control Systems: Implement and manage robust quality control systems and processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Audit Scheduling and Planning: Schedule and plan internal audits at appropriate intervals, addressing raised issues, and implementing corrective actions to close out non-conformances.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Comply with the requirements of the company Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Drawing and Manufacturing Process Understanding: Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
  • Root Cause Analysis Knowledge: Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies, such as 8D.
  • System Management: Ability to manage systems to ensure process input variables are in specification.
  • Inspection Processes and Equipment Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of inspection processes and equipment.
