About the Role:

The Deputy Director of Sport and Social Media will play a key role in driving the editorial vision and direction for 50 Sport's clients, overseeing the quality of output, managing and developing the editorial team, and strengthening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with strategy, client services, content, production, and creative departments to deliver world-class editorially led social content.
  • Develop and implement long-term editorial strategies for clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead by example, setting high standards for the editorial team and contributing to the management of the department.
  • Collaborate with strategy and creative teams to unlock editorial thinking and maximize opportunities with clients.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies that drive client growth and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social media and sport, with a strong understanding of the industry's trends and challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive results and measure success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Passion for sport and social media, with a deep understanding of the power of sport to engage and inspire audiences.
