About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Amazon's Customer Fulfilment team as a Senior Workplace Health and Safety Manager. As a key member of our Operations network, you will play a vital role in driving improvements in workplace safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of health and safety professionals to ensure compliance with local legislation and Amazon's safety standards.
  • Analyse data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information needed to make informed safety-related decisions.
  • Develop and implement health and safety projects and policies to drive a culture of safety and inclusivity.
  • Drive programmes to improve the safety culture in Amazon, including training and awareness initiatives.
A Day in the Life

This is a varied role that requires a strong understanding of health and safety principles and practices. You will work closely with other teams across the company to ensure that our sites operate safely and efficiently.

About the Team

Our Customer Fulfilment team is responsible for handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are a dynamic and fast-paced team that is always looking for ways to improve our processes and services.

Requirements
  • Education to a degree level and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level.
  • Relevant experience managing a team and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies is desirable.
