We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic Children's Emergency Department team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert emergency care to children and their families, while supporting the senior sister/charge nurse and acting as nurse in charge of the department when on shift.
The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centered care, with a focus on education, training, and development of staff. You will be expected to work well under pressure, have excellent communication skills, and be able to lead and motivate the team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert emergency care to children and their families
- Support the senior sister/charge nurse and act as nurse in charge of the department when on shift
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
- Registered Nurse Child/RSCN
- Level 3 Resus trained Pediatrics immediate life support (PILS)
- Experience working in an Acute Children's Hospital Setting
- Previous experience working in a children's Emergency Department
- EPALS/APLS provider
