About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join our team at Grundon. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our transport services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to their requests and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administrative Support: Offer administrative support to the Depot Operations Manager, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Operations Coordination: Coordinate with drivers to ensure the efficient movement of goods and materials, including managing schedules and routes.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze reports to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing insights to inform business decisions.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the ordering and maintenance of office equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • HR and Payroll: Assist with HR and payroll functions, including maintaining accurate records and resolving queries.
Requirements
  • Experience: Ideally, two years' experience in an office-based role involving transport operations or a sound knowledge of the waste industry.
  • Skills: Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly. Numerate with good spoken and written English.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, ability to multitask, and think on your feet.
