Proven experience in a leadership capacity within an IT setting, particularly in a smaller team environment, is essential. A strong technical foundation in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and network management is required.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills are crucial for navigating complex IT challenges. While a degree in a relevant field is advantageous, a demonstrated history of successfully managing IT projects from start to finish is of utmost importance. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer are considered beneficial.
