About the Role

A vacancy for a Despatch Supervisor is now available at our company, Hillarys. The main responsibility of this role entails managing the despatch process over all business channels within the company, ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met, whilst working closely with and supporting the rest of the team as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance is up to date with health and safety standards in the distribution area.
  • Regulatory Updates: Keeping the team and contractors updated on regulations and consistently maintaining current paperwork.
  • Team Management: Managing the despatch team and creating a working environment that reflects the company values.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively promoting and instigating continuous improvements.
  • Aisle Activity and Loading: Managing the aisle activity and loading.
  • Daily Exceptions Report: Running of the daily exceptions report.
  • Operational Oversight: Overseeing the operation from intersite, unloading/loading to van scans and loading of delivery vehicles.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Assisting with the LGI and root cause analysis.
  • Contract Manufactured Products: Overseeing the delivery of Contract Manufactured products into the department.
  • Interdepartmental Relationships: Maintaining good interdepartmental relationships.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Recruitment and selection when needed.
  • Issue Resolution: Responsive to all queries resulting in a resolution along with process improvement.
  • Team Leader Management: Managing Team Leaders effectively through training, 1:1's and providing clear objectives.
About You

The successful and ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience of working within a distribution environment.
  • Have previous experience of managing a team.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and SAP.
  • GCSE Level Maths and English.
  • Have the ability to resolve issues quickly using clear logical thinking.
