Position: Lead Civil Engineering Consultant

Location: Derbyshire

Salary: Up to £55,000

We are currently seeking a proficient Lead Civil Engineering Consultant to become a vital part of a thriving, multidisciplinary consultancy.

In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing and guiding one of the most active teams within the organization. You will have the chance to design and evaluate intricate plans for a variety of projects, including:

  • Industrial
  • Residential
  • Educational
  • Retail
  • Commercial
  • Leisure

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a 2.1 BEng or Meng degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Achieved or pursuing Chartership status with IStructE or ICE
  • Access to a vehicle for site visits and meetings

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous involvement in residential development projects
  • Expertise in the structural design of low-rise residential buildings
  • Proficiency in software such as Microdrainage, Causeway Flow, Causeway PDS, or Civil 3D

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with design team members, external clients, and other professionals
  • Prepare reports for Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
  • Participate in meetings, public inquiries, planning committees, and site inspections as required
  • Provide 3D ground models for vertical road profiles, cut and fill calculations, and volume assessments
