Join a Reputable Independent Practice

Are you seeking a position with a well-established, customer-oriented independent optometry practice that provides a range of extended services? Your qualifications and experience are essential for this role, so please review the details below carefully.

Practice Overview:

  • Standard 30-minute testing with support staff conducting fields
  • Fully equipped with advanced technology including OCT, Phoropter, Humphries fields, and Auto-refractor
  • Two testing rooms available, with occasional double testing
  • Involvement in contact lens fittings and aftercare
  • Work schedule includes 3-4 days per week, including Saturdays (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with no Sundays required

Key Responsibilities:

As an Optometrist, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive sight tests in 30-minute intervals
  • Perform contact lens fittings and provide aftercare
  • Collaborate with the team to recommend products and enhance the patient experience
  • Utilize a variety of equipment, including OCT, Pulsair, Humphries HFA III, digital clinical records, and trial lenses
  • Assist in various areas of the practice as needed

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A proactive attitude, willing to assist on the shop floor when not testing

This practice is looking for a long-term resident optometrist to help grow the business and uphold its excellent reputation. Flexibility to undertake MECS and enhanced services accreditation is required, with full support provided for qualification.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary package of up to £55,000, depending on experience and qualifications, along with professional fees. Newly qualified optometrists can expect a salary of up to £40,000, including training and support for clinical development.
