Night Shift Multiskilled Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Shift Multiskilled Engineer to join our team at Hales Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing a quick and responsive service to our site's operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identification and recovery of fault situations on all processing equipment and ancillary devices.
  • Ensuring all systems are completed efficiently, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical.
  • Fault finding on AC/DC drives and resolving.
  • Monitoring and adjusting equipment and process conditions to ensure high-quality standards are achieved.
  • Maximizing equipment utilization by carrying out effective preventative maintenance procedures, timely calibration, and routine safety checks.
  • Promoting an environment of continuous improvement and participating in process optimization projects.
  • Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Requirements:
  • Electrical and mechanical experience, with knowledge of electrical isolation techniques and pneumatic and hydraulic techniques.
  • Knowledge of Siemens S5, S7, and Allen Brady PLCs is desirable.
  • Practical experience in electrical and mechanical repairs.
  • HNC or Apprenticeship qualified in mechanical or electrical or both, or extensive practical experience in the opposite if only qualified in one area.
