We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to enhance our diverse project portfolio within the public sector, encompassing education, adult social care, residential, leisure, blue light services, depots, and libraries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the commercial elements of projects, including governance, fee management, internal cost assessments, and resource allocation.
- Adopt a proactive approach to manage client relationships and service delivery on a project basis alongside colleagues.
- Collaborate effectively with AtkinsRéalis project management, health & safety, and building surveying teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Lead, set expectations, and monitor all work at every stage to guarantee a precise, professional, and high-quality service for clients.
- Play a pivotal role in fostering repeat business and identifying new market opportunities.
- Implement quality assurance and environmental management principles in line with organizational policies.
- Supervise junior colleagues, including conducting performance reviews and providing mentorship.
- Possess a BSc (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
- Chartered member of RICS (or equivalent).
- Demonstrate a broad network and knowledge of local markets, showcasing a history of generating repeat and new business.
- Extensive experience with public sector clients on significant projects, with familiarity in both JCT and NEC contract forms.
- Commercially astute, capable of working collaboratively, and possess the people management skills necessary for mentorship.
- Experience in education, residential, leisure, and blue light sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of project components and overall construction costs, along with knowledge of various project procurement methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication abilities (internally and with clients), coupled with a determination to advance your career.
- Demonstrate ambition and drive to deliver a high-quality professional service.
- Proficient in IT skills, including Office, Outlook, BIM/CAD measurement, and cost planning software such as Cost-X.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and eager to become an integral member of the office team.
- Ability to make informed decisions independently.
- Valid driving license.
