Job Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Treasury Accountant to join our Finance team in Northampton. This position involves delivering effective administrative support to our partners, legal advisors, and various support functions. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in legal finance, outstanding communication abilities, and the capacity to perform well under pressure.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure understanding and compliance with Accounts Rules.
- Maintain precise office accounts.
- Complete tasks accurately and within set deadlines.
- Proactively suggest enhancements to processes.
- Provide support to team members as necessary.
- Promptly communicate issues to the Finance Manager.
- Be available for additional hours during busy periods.
Key Areas of Focus:
Transactional Duties:
- Perform client and office bank reconciliations.
- Handle journal postings and payment processing.
Administrative Duties:
- Administer credit card expense portal.
- Support bank account management and statement storage.
- Process carbon emission data.
Support Responsibilities:
- Assist the Treasury Accountant as needed.
- Help with foreign exchange contracts and direct debit postings.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in professional services, preferably in a similar capacity.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient IT skills, including Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Organized with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Dependable, approachable, and supportive demeanor.
