About the Role:

Join Birmingham Children's Trust's Regional Adoption Agency, Adopt Birmingham, during a transformative period as we enhance our services for children and adopters. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to fulfill the role of Adoption Panel Consultant, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice to the Adoption Panel on statutory requirements, regulations, and national standards related to adoption.
  • Ensure the quality assurance of documentation and reports submitted to the Adoption Panel.
  • Collaborate with various professionals across education, health, and social care to facilitate effective adoption processes.
  • Participate in the statutory reporting for the panel and contribute to practice improvements within the agency.
  • Engage in training and development initiatives for panel members and staff.

About You:

  • Possess a strong understanding of care planning and adoption legislation.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to fostering good practices in adoption assessments and reviews.
  • Be social work qualified and registered with Social Work England.
