Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Mechanical Field Service Engineers to enhance our operations.

Your Daily Responsibilities
In this position, you will take charge of the commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of equipment associated with our Compression & Gas Turbines (SGT) product lines, which encompass Centrifugal & Reciprocating Compressors, Rotating Equipment, and Siemens Energy Small Gas Turbines (SGT).

Qualifications and Skills Required
As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, a proactive and adaptable work ethic is essential.

You should demonstrate initiative and be capable of working independently or collaboratively with a diverse team.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial for success in this role. A degree or vocational qualifications in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Experience or training in one or more of the specified product lines is necessary for performing routine maintenance, overhauls, installations, and commissioning tasks.

A willingness to cross-train on additional product lines is a plus.

You must be prepared to mobilize quickly for urgent situations and be open to working away from home for extended durations, including weekends and holidays.

Offshore work may be required, necessitating the possession or ability to obtain offshore working certifications. A valid UK driving license is also mandatory. Familiarity with tools such as Borescopes, Rotalign Laser Alignment, and other relevant equipment is advantageous. The capability to interpret piping and installation diagrams, general engineering drawings, and control schematics is essential.

Impact of Your Role
  • Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on Siemens Energy products.
  • Exhibit knowledge and experience in the operation, service, and maintenance of driven equipment in Gas Compression and Power Generation settings.
  • Conduct mechanical installation, servicing, and repairs on Centrifugal and Reciprocating Compressors (Dresser Rand Designed) and Power Turbines (DR291 and Vectra) or similar models.
  • Carry out mechanical installation, servicing, and repairs on Siemens SGT or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with other Siemens Energy Gas Turbines is beneficial.
  • Understanding of Package Air, Fuel, and Oil auxiliary systems.
  • Perform mechanical installation and commissioning tasks on newly installed equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults effectively.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company operating instructions.
  • Engage in product training programs to maintain and enhance role competency.
  • Generate technical reports detailing work performed and recommendations for resolving customer issues and improving system reliability.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and fault diagnostics as needed.
