We are working with a dynamic and entrepreneurial private equity firm, with a focus on innovative, high-growth companies across the globe. The firm is looking to recruit an ESG Analyst to join the ESG team in London, with a broad range of responsibilities and the opportunity to work closely with an exciting and varied portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the ESG due diligence process for a portfolio of private and public companies, predominantly in the technology, financial services, healthcare, and consumer/business service sectors.
- Coordinate the public market due diligence process, including reporting and proxy voting, and reporting annually on public market stewardship outcomes.
- Liaise with internal functions to coordinate responses to investor questions and regulatory developments.
- Develop and implement a net zero strategy to support decarbonization across the firm and portfolio.
- Contribute to the annual ESG forum and produce responsible investment/ESG-related market research and presentations.
- Work on and contribute to sustainability reporting, including annual PRI and stewardship reporting.
- Monitor sustainability and climate-related regulatory developments to determine implications for the firm and portfolio companies.
Requirements
- Excellent stakeholder skills, with the ability to effectively listen, communicate, challenge, and influence colleagues.
- Strong interest in sustainability and ESG topics.
- Knowledge of financial services and private equity.
- Technical experience in handling large datasets in Excel and reporting.
- Ability to take proactive ownership and responsibility of issues and manage effectively through to resolution.
- Organized and thorough approach with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrates discretion and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach and working patterns.
- Excellent knowledge and practical experience of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
