Job Summary

The Assistant Tax Advisor will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of our client's taxation strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting and/or finance graduate to gain valuable experience and pursue a career in tax.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of the Group's taxation strategy, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and manage the UK's effective tax rate, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor UK tax affairs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Maintain relationships with auditors and professional advisors, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Provide support to Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Business in relation to material tax matters, ensuring timely and accurate advice.
  • Maintain relationships with UK tax authorities as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in accounting and/or finance or a similar relevant subject. Placement or internship experience would be desirable, but not essential. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
