Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be expected to:
- Manage a caseload of clients, conducting regular sessions to develop tailored Support Plans that outline their goals and necessary support.
- Assist clients in enhancing their independent living skills.
- Offer guidance on benefits and support clients in maintaining their tenancies.
- Advocate for clients, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance.
- Create and promote community-based activities that encourage engagement and wellbeing.
- Facilitate access to health services and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Connect clients with relevant support services, including mental health and substance misuse agencies.
- Help clients explore opportunities in employment, education, and training.
- Report maintenance issues to relevant services and assist clients in addressing their repair needs.
- Collaborate with various agencies, including housing and health professionals, to provide comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate financial records while adhering to established budgets.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those facing homelessness, mental health challenges, or disabilities.
- Understanding of the unique challenges faced by ex-service members.
- Proven ability to support vulnerable individuals towards independence.
- Experience in case management, including risk assessment and support planning.
- Knowledge of housing benefits and related support systems.
- Awareness of safeguarding protocols for vulnerable adults.
- Skills in managing challenging behaviors positively.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
Additional Requirements:
To register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary roles, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Valid right to work in the UK.
- At least 12 months of paid experience in a frontline social care role within the last three years.
- A fully enhanced DBS check, either registered on the update service or issued recently, or willingness to apply for one.
- Employment or educational history covering the last five years, verifiable through references.
