Job Summary:

Employment Specialists Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Motor Engineer to join our team. As a Motor Engineer, you will be responsible for estimating and engineering vehicle damage, reviewing repair costs, and authorizing repair methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate and engineer vehicle damage from clear images and create detailed reports for multiple work types, including total loss vehicles and third-party outlays.
  • Review estimates received from various estimating platforms and negotiate accurate, fair, and reasonable repair methods and costs.
  • Instruct physical inspections and quality-check returned reports, submitting them to clients.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including clients, vehicle owners, and colleagues, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Process work within agreed timescales and adhere to contractual and procedural guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the motor industry, with a strong understanding of vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in estimating and/or engineering, with a focus on cost negotiation and manufacturer standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using multiple systems involved in vehicle repair, such as Audatex and Escribe.
