Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Maintenance Specialist to join our team at NHS Property Services. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for delivering scheduled, reactive, and remedial maintenance services for our plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and wellbeing policies, as well as statutory regulations and approved codes of practice.
  • Implement new or revised practices and policies within your work area.
  • Deliver maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner, helpdesk, or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring operational standards are maintained.
  • Perform fault finding, minor repairs, or installations, and maintain services and equipment in critical environments.
  • Assess problems to determine the best course of action, including complex technical issues, and communicate technical information to stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective site log books at NHS premises, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Requirements
  • At least one of the following qualifications: BTEC City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 Plumbing Engineering, or formal apprenticeship or craft trained equivalent.
  • Driving licence is essential.
  • Comfortable using technological devices to log jobs.
  • On-call availability.
  • Desirable to have industry experience.
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
