Financial Accountant

The Financial Accounting & Reporting Partner will play a pivotal role within the Inventory and Revenue department, focusing on cost of goods sold and revenue reporting for a prominent life science organisation based in Slough.
About the RoleReporting into the Finance Director, this role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day of finance in relation to revenue, inventory, COGS, and distribution. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of month-end accounts, computation of annual standard costs, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and meeting audit and year-end statutory accounting requirements
- Ensuring that Revenue & COGS are recognised accurately in accordance with IFRS and internal management reporting guidelines
- Collaborating directly with partner companies and distributors, as well as business partners with our stakeholders
- Providing financial insights and recommendations to senior management
- Participating in budgeting and forecasting activities
A successful Financial Accounting & Reporting Partner- Revenue & Inventory should have:
- Professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Proficient knowledge of IFRS and SOX
- Advanced level in MS Office packages, including Power BI
- Experience in partnering outside of a finance department
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data
- Excellent communication and a keen eye for detail
- Proactive and inquisitive work approach
A competitive salary range of £65,000 to £75,000 per annum, additional car allowance, and a 10% bonus scheme. Opportunity to work in a leading life science company, a supportive and collaborative company culture, and flexible working arrangements with one day per week in the office.
