About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Lead to join our Mental Health Service Expansion team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Team Manager with operational duties and contributing to the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support with recruitment, including reviewing job applications, interviewing, and planning induction packages.
  • Manage sickness and absence, including return to work meetings, staff wellbeing meetings, and referrals to occupational health.
  • Oversee roster management, supporting annual leave requests, flexible working requests, and study leave.
  • Organize and chair meetings as required.
  • Conduct audits as necessary to ensure compliance with NELFT and CQC standards.
  • Contribute to audit and research initiatives.
  • Monitor and guide the team to ensure safety benchmarks are met, including delivery of interventions in line with NICE guidance and ROMS.
  • Support Operational Leads with day-to-day service management, including monitoring governance and compliance.
  • Act up in the absence of the Operational Manager for short periods.

Requirements

  • Relevant graduate qualification with a recognized professional body.
  • A minimum of a second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant academic subject (Psychology, Education, Childhood development, Social Work, etc).
  • Substantial Band 6 experience within a Mental Health setting or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience of providing clinical and managerial supervision.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a team.
  • Knowledge of risk management, ability to monitor and assess risk, and act accordingly to ensure safety.
