Job Title: Lead Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team at Chesham House School, a specialist provision for young people with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum development, lesson planning, and delivery, as well as managing classes effectively to motivate students and ensure a safe learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to develop and implement the curriculum
  • Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons
  • Managing student SEMH needs effectively
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working with learners with SEMH difficulties
  • Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • DBS clearance and satisfactory references
