Job Summary

STERIS is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the successful transfer of capital equipment from design to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design transfer process, ensuring accurate and complete documentation of design specifications and production build instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and quality, to ensure seamless integration of new equipment into production.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve design and production issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electronic build manuals and work instructions.
  • Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and identify training requirements.

Requirements

  • MSc Degree in engineering or technical field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in design transfer to production.
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to handle conflict and make sound data-driven decisions.
  • LEAN exposure and experience with CAD software is advantageous.
