Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading engineering consultancy, Tony Gee and Partners, on a wide range of major projects across the UK. As a Civil and Structural Engineering Specialist, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to the design and delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and deliver civil and structural engineering projects, including bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
  2. Develop and implement design solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  3. Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  4. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Requirements
  1. Minimum of four years' experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on structural engineering.
  2. Proven experience in the design of bridges, including loading to Eurocodes and element design and detailing.
  3. Strong understanding of steel and concrete design to Eurocodes.
  4. Experience with computer software for structural analysis and design.
  5. Excellent communication and project management skills.
Desirable Skills
  1. Experience in finite element software for structural analysis.
  2. Knowledge of composite steel/concrete, masonry, geotechnical, and timber design to Eurocodes.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project objectives.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to seek advice when needed.
Qualifications

BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Working towards Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE) status.
