Patient Safety Specialist

Join Russell Tobin as a Patient Safety Specialist in our London office, working on a 12-month contract with potential for extension. This hybrid role (3 days/week onsite) offers a unique blend of patient safety and pharmaceutical industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the management of patient safety operational processes, ensuring compliance with global and local procedures, national and international regulations, standards, and guidelines.
- Manage the collection, processing, documentation, reporting, and follow-up of adverse event reports for all products from clinical trials, non-interventional studies, patient-oriented programs, literature, spontaneous reports, and other sources.
- Transcribe, translate, and enter data from source documents into safety systems accurately and consistently, with a focus on quality and timeliness.
- Develop, update, and implement local procedures to ensure compliance with patient safety global procedures and national requirements.
- Perform reconciliation with other departments for potential AEs resulting from medical inquiries, quality-related complaints, and other sources.
- Manage and maintain all relevant local patient safety databases.
- Ensure that relevant local literature articles are screened as appropriate.
- Prepare and submit KPI reports on compliance in a timely manner, including identification of root causes for late reporting to LHA and development of corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and update training materials for vigilance and ensure training of Country Organization associates on relevant patient safety procedures for AE reporting.
- Ensure support to internal audits, LHA inspections, and implementation of the respective CAPA plan.
- Medical Doctor, Nurse, Pharmacist), life science degree, or equivalent training and experience.
- Previous experience within patient safety and documentation would be preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmacological and medical terminology.
- Quality and results-oriented.
- Computer skills.
