The RPS Water Consulting team comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts dedicated to developing Asset Management and Operational Strategies for our Water Industry clients, aiding in their business planning and execution. Our Water Consultancy division is involved in several prestigious AMP8 programs leading into AMP9 and beyond, ensuring a secure career path for the future while leaving a lasting impact.

About You:

As an integral member of the Water Consultancy division, your position as Utilities Inspection Assistant is vital in delivering exceptional projects for our Water Industry clients. You will collaborate with a diverse team of water project specialists on various capital delivery initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Assess and document the condition of Water and Sewage Infrastructure Assets.
  • Prepare detailed Inspection Reports.
  • Gather features and pertinent information regarding health & safety measures and structural conditions.
  • Perform additional tasks to fulfill team Asset Management framework goals.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures.
  • Achieve KPIs and contribute to business growth.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Experience in Civil/Structural Engineering Inspection and Water site operations is preferred.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices and their implementation.
  • Experience in inspecting structural elements, pipe bridges, and tunnels along pipelines is advantageous.
  • Civil/Structural Engineering Inspection expertise from other utilities will be considered.
  • Proficient IT skills are essential, as all inspection reporting is conducted electronically, along with familiarity with the MS 365 suite of applications.
  • A solution-oriented and collaborative mindset.
