About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PBS Practitioner to join our team at Swanstaff Ltd. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to individuals with Learning Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert PBS guidance and support to our services, ensuring the implementation of best practice in behaviour support.
  • Develop and deliver coaching, training, and mentoring to our teams, promoting a culture of excellence in PBS.
  • Support the embedding of Active Support, Creating Capable Environments, Human Rights, Trauma-Informed Care, Restraint Reduction, and Focused-Based Support across our services.
  • Conduct individual assessments, including those displaying behaviours of concern, and develop tailored PBS plans to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Support the teams to implement PBS and restraint reduction plans, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support.
  • Provide guidance on proactive strategies of support and risk management plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of our service users.
  • Represent the PBS support team at Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings, as required.
  • Monitor and analyse behavioural data, creating reports that evidence behavioural incident reduction and inform service improvements.
Requirements
  • A level 4 PBS qualification or working towards it.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the Health and Social Care sector.
  • Understanding of MCA/DoLS, Restraint Reduction, Human Rights, Creating Capable Environments, Trauma-Informed Care, Positive Behaviour Support, and Supporting Behaviours of Concern.
  • Excellent interpersonal, prioritisation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to understand and use functional assessment and intervention.
  • Proven experience of working with individuals who display behaviours of concern.
  • Willingness to train in physical intervention.
  • Confident teamwork, leadership, and effective communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to use own initiative.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel to service locations group-wide.
  • Professional presentation, punctuality, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
