About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant to join our team at TeacherActive. As a Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across various schools in Essex, supporting students in both physical education and classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering sports and physical education lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Support teachers in classroom settings, providing assistance with academic lessons and activities.
  • Encourage student engagement in sports, promoting health, fitness, and teamwork.
  • Help manage behavior and maintain a positive learning environment both in the classroom and on the sports field.
  • Assist in the preparation of lesson plans, resources, and equipment for PE lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support as needed to boost students' academic and physical progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience in sports coaching or physical education (relevant qualifications are desirable).
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • A passion for both physical education and academic development.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Flexibility to work across different schools in Essex.
