About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Cheltenham. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage individuals to participate in activities and follow their interests, including assisting them in the community and helping them attend appointments.
  • Support individuals to be as independent as possible, whether this involves teaching them to cook or prompting them to develop personal care skills.
  • Encourage individuals to follow their personal planned strategies to maintain their emotional wellbeing and mental health.
  • Ensure all records are up-to-date and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
  • A good communicator and listener.
  • A desire to support individuals with complex needs.
  • Good basic comprehension of the English language, including basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • An ability to remain calm and level-headed even when faced with challenging behaviours.
  • A commitment to providing the highest standards of care for the individuals we support.
