Logistics Operations Manager

Join our team as a Logistics Manager at Nicholl Oil Group, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution department.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the distribution department, including domestic drivers and routing teams across 5 locations.
- Ensure the routing and scheduling of all vehicles in your area of responsibility, in compliance with drivers' hours regulations and working time directives.
- Communicate efficiently with sales teams regarding delivery schedules and ensure that product is delivered correctly in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Monitor drivers' hours, breaks, tachographs, and ensure compliance with current legislation.
- Manage vehicle monitoring, scheduling of minor maintenance issues, and ensure all necessary departmental documentation and administration is maintained.
- Liaise with HR to facilitate driver recruitment, manage annual leave, and driver absence.
- Investigate transport misdemeanors, ensure completion of all relevant driver paperwork, and outcome.
- Monitor product storage, water dips, markings/description, meters, and tank gauging to ensure required quality systems standards are maintained.
- Previous experience working in a supervisory role within the transport sector.
- Thorough knowledge of transport regulations and compliance.
- Possession of category C + E license, ADR License & CPC (desirable).
- Excellent geographic knowledge of Northern Ireland and familiar with planning/scheduling systems (desirable).
Head Office, Greysteel with responsibility for 5 locations. 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Saturday (overtime on rota basis). 40 hours paid (30-minute unpaid lunch break).
Salary:£35,000 per annum.
