Job Overview

**Role:** Group Financial Controller

**Location:** Remote or Office-based

**Salary:** £80,000 - £100,000 + additional benefits

Marks Sattin is seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the group's financial reporting, improving processes and systems, and managing a finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a group reporting structure to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Lead the delivery of management reporting, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Assist with providing financial information for acquisitions and mergers.
  • Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the group's VAT obligations, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Develop and implement a budgeting and forecasting process to inform business decisions.
  • Present key financial reports to senior stakeholders, including the CFO and PE house.
  • Manage a finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial objectives.
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualified with an accountancy practice background.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, with experience in financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Experience working in a PE-backed business, with knowledge of financial systems and processes.
  • Excellent staff management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a finance team.
