Financial Manager Job Description

The Financial Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the organisation. This senior position requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the finance team, work closely with senior management, and provide strategic financial advice to drive business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure the company's financial health and long-term sustainability.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to inform business decisions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance, track the company's financial status, and identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Oversee and execute operative accounting, including the booking of all business transactions, processing of payment transactions, and timely preparation of financial reports.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local, state, and group financial regulations.
  • Manage internal controls, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with corporate policies, and identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CMA or ACCA are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
